Marvel/Disney have created an amazing shared universe.
It all started back in 2008 when they released the first Iron Man movie starring Robert Downey Junior as Tony Stark. That movie is and should rightfully be considered the backbone of this shared universe for without its success we would have never seen so many films like Thor, Captain America and The Incredible Hulk that followed soon after. It all beautifully flowed in the record breaking Avengers assemble movie long awaited after the post credit scene of the first Iron Man movie. Now that we're half way through Marvel phase 2 with two more movies (Captain America: The winter soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy) that will hit theaters this year the 3hd phase of this shared universe is becoming to be unveiled.
The outline of Marvel phase 3 seems to be clearer after recent rumors which confirmed the solo movies for Thor and Captain America who would return for their third solo movies and with Antman already confirmed as the first movie post Avengers 2 then there's only one more movie to be announced and the whole phase three is layed out before Avengers 3. Now as much as we all love these movies we can't help to speculate when is this universe going to end. Well, there have been already majors problems such as convincing Robert Downey Junior to sign on for Avengers 2 and 3.
I've heard many speculations concerning Marvel phase 4 and many say that this shared universe will be able to survive without Iron Man, Thor or Captain America or even all the above but I do not see it that way. I doubt that Black Panther, dr Strange and Antman together with Wasp would be able to carry on the universe.
Another question would be how long can these superheroes movies will be successful, how lomg will audiences enjoy watching the same heroes over and over again. After Avengers 3 I think that the Universe will seize to exist and it will be maybe rebooted in a decade or something. However there might be a drastic change that could revitalize the universe; if Disney makes a deal with Sony or with Fox or even both then bringing the X-Men, The Fantastic Four or Spiderman in the Avengers team could keep the fire burning. It sounds a bit too utopistic and I think that as far as Fox is concerned they should not make any deal simce they are creating a shared universe but Sony might opt to lend Spiderman to the Avengers considering that in 2018 Spiderman will release what is presumed to be the last insatlments of their franchise.
So guys this is my view on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but I am sure that you see it differently so leave a comment below and let me know
